Leave the work and time of staining or painting your new windows and doors to our finishing craftspeople. Our exclusive 7-Step finishing process will bring out the true beauty of your windows and doors using Sherwin-Williams quality paint and stains.
Window & Door Finishing

  1. First, we start by prepping the surface by sanding every surface and corner to provide an incomparable smooth finish.
  2. Once the surface is prepped, we condition the wood. This ensures the stain and paint will penetrate the wood, to provide you a long-lasting durable finish.
  3. Now, its time to apply the beauty of SHERWIN-WILLIAMS stains and paint. This process is done in our climate-controlled pre-finishing room.
  4. We are not done yet. Once stained or painted, your windows and doors receive two coats of sanding sealer to ensure a smooth, level product surface.
  5. We then lightly sand them for the second and last time in preparation for the final top coat.
  6. Finally, we will apply a commercial-grade lacquer top coat to make sure your windows will keep their beauty for many years to come.
  7. After your windows and doors are thoroughly inspected, they are carefully re-packaged and ready to be professionally installed in your home.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Each year in October, our team participates in the Real Men Wear Pink campaign, led by the American Cancer Society. Employees who participate in this program wear pink and obtain pledges throughout October to raise money for this cause. Additionally, we raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Our fundraising events toward this cause include themed T-shirt sales, in-office bake sales, a Penny Wars competition, 50/50 raffles, and pizza lunches.

Stuff the Truck

Our Stuff the Truck event is another way we give back to the community. The goal of this program is to fill one or more C&L Ward trucks with donation items. These may include canned goods and other non-perishable food, toiletries, warm clothing, blankets, and more. Monetary donations are also accepted, as we collect donations from our employees and other members of the community. Everything collected in the Stuff the Truck event is provided to a local non-profit dedicated to helping community members in need.

Shingles for Shelter

Shingles for Shelter is a C&L Ward program that gives back to the community. Each holiday season around November, we offer a free installed asphalt roof to a homeowner in need. We partner with organizations like ABC Supply Co, Inc. and Metro Sanitation to source the shingles and supply the dumpster to make this project happen. To select a Shingles for Shelter giveaway recipient, we consider things like current roof condition, circumstances, and presentation quality. In short, we offer homeowners a fresh start.
