2017 Home Makeover Winner – Our 10th Annual!

Congratulations to The Bostwick Family of Clio, MI for winning our 10th Annual $10,000 Home Makeover! Every Spring we choose a winner from ALL Sweepstakes entries compiled from the previous year. Dawn, shown here with some of our Sales and Marketing staff, entered at the NBC 25 Health Expo on May 17, 2017. New Andersen Windows are heading her way as the home’s current casements do not close properly and have broken seals.

2016 Home Makeover Winner – Lucy Pascoe of Clarkston, MI

Lucy Pascoe of Clarkston is the winner of the C&L Ward $10,000 Home Makeover for the calendar year of 2016! She entered our Sweepstakes in October at the Taste of Clarkston event, with interests in new siding, doors and decking. After an initial appointment and visit from one of our In-Home Consultants, she received an estimate for CertainTeed Vinyl Siding as her current siding was wood and woodpeckers were invading it! But, it was decided to wait on the project in order save up the money needed. As you can image, she was thrilled to hear she was announced as our winner in Spring of 2017 and could move forward with the project. A lovely shade of Autumn Yellow siding with white window wraps brightened the curb appeal, and new gutters and a storm door put the finishing touches on the home.

Congratulations to our 2015 Home Makeover Winner – Pam Fife of Howell!

Pam Fife of Howell, Michigan was selected randomly from thousands of entries to receive an exterior makeover to their home. When called and told she was selected, Ms. Fife said she was very excited and couldn’t believe she had won! She entered the sweepstakes at the Michigan International Women’s Expo in Novi in May of 2015 and was interested in receiving a quote for a new roof. She and her husband ultimately decided on new Andersen Windows.

2014 Home Makeover Winner – The Steep family of Rochester Hills

C&L Ward has announced the winner of their annual $10,000 Home Makeover Sweepstakes. Ann Steep and her family were selected randomly from thousands of entries to receive an exterior makeover to their home. When called and told she was selected, Ms. Steep said she wasn’t sure if it was a gimmick or the real deal. She entered the sweepstakes on C&L Ward’s website received a quote for the doors from C&L Ward in September of 2014 and decided to see if she could win them through the makeover contest. She was quite excited when she realized that it was not a hoax and wanted to use the prize to get the new Andersen patio doors. The real excitement settled in when she and her husband had their patio doors installed week.

 

2013 Winner – Dean Lewis of Goodrich

C&L Ward has announced the winner of their annual $10,000 Home Makeover Sweepstakes. Dean Lewis of Goodrich, Michigan was selected randomly from thousands of entries to receive an exterior makeover to their home. When called and told he was selected, Mr. Lewis said he remembered filling out the entry form at the C&L Ward display at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets during the holiday season, but can’t believe that he had won. He was quite excited. However, the real excitement settled in when he saw his deck being built. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis are the third winners of the $10,000 Home Makeover Sweepstakes that have been a previous C&L Ward customer. The Lewis’ have purchased doors in the past and used the money from the contest for a new composite deck. Mary and Steven Schultz from Auburn, Michigan won the sweepstakes in 2012.
“We are excited to present Mr. Lewis with a certificate for $10,000 to use on our quality products from C&L Ward,” stated Patrick Ward, President of C&L Ward. “Providing an annual sweepstakes is just one way we try and give back to our communities and customers that support us. The fact that another winner is a current customer is just wonderful. What a great way we can say ‘thank you’ for being our customer.”

2012 Winners – The Schultz family of Auburn

C&L Ward has announced the winner of their annual $10,000 Home Makeover Sweepstakes. Mary and Steven Schultz from Auburn, Michigan were selected randomly from thousands of entries to receive an exterior makeover to their home. When called and told she was selected, Mary said remembered filling out the entry form, but can’t believe that she had won. She was quite excited. However, the real excitement settled in today when she and her husband received a certificate for $10,000 and is able to select her home improvements consisting of C&L Ward’s products which include siding, windows, doors, roofing and environmentally friendly decking. Mr. and Mrs. Schultz are the second winners of the $10,000 Home Makeover Sweepstakes that have been a previous C&L Ward customers. The Schultz’s have purchased two metal roofs and now plans to follow that up with new windows and doors. Julie and Brad Klein of Holly won the sweepstakes in 2011.

2011 Winners – The Klein family of Holly

I am pleased to announce that Brad & Julie Klein of Holly are the grand prize winners of our $10,000 Home Makeover Sweepstakes for 2011!

This is our fifth winner selected since 2007 and the FIRST time that a past client has won the prize. Just this past winter, the Klein’s hired our company to install 6-windows into their Pulte home that is only about 11-years old. During their “window” shopping process in November, Julie entered the Home Makeover Sweepstakes via our website.

After receiving the congratulations call, they could not believe that their name had been selected as the grand prize winner and asked “what’s the catch”. Now that they know there is no catch they are elated and ready to improve their home!

They are thrilled about the news and wanted to thank everyone at C&L Ward for making this possible for their family (two sons ages 3 & 5, not pictured). They plan on using their grand prize winnings to add a new deck to their home.

2010 Winner – The Hinman family of Burton

We’ve announced the winners of our fourth $10,000 Home Makeover Sweepstakes. Paul and Casey Hinman of Burton, Michigan, are the lucky recipients.

I kept trying to call my husband to tell him we won a $10,000 home makeover. I couldn’t wait for him to come home. I started looking around the house to see what things needed to get done. I didn’t believe it until we came in and saw the check. I’m still stunned, said Casey.

C&L President Pat Ward stated, “It’s always a thrill for us when we announce the winner of our Home Makeover. We look forward to working with Paul and Casey and helping them with their makeover.” The family of five plans to use the money to have new siding and exterior doors installed.

2009 Winner – Ms. Sarah Smith of Hemlock

It took several phone calls to reach her, but we finally contacted her. Sarah could not believe that her name was selected as the grand prize winner! Sarah entered the Home Makeover Sweepstakes via our website back in October. She is thrilled about the news and plans on using her grand prize to update her farmhouse that she is in midst of remodeling.

2008 Winner – Ms. Chiffon Berry of Lansing

Chiffon was in disbelief after hearing that she had won the free Home Makeover. Her first thought was “I’ve never won anything before, this could not have been true. Nothing is free.” After meeting and speaking with President, Pat Ward, and his staff she felt assured that it in fact was true. “The staff did a great job explaining the products and services they offer.” Chiffon especially liked the seminars, “they were great and I really enjoyed them. The staff was nice and very informative.” After attending the Home Improvement Seminars Chiffon decided to have all her windows replaced with new Marvin Infinity Fiberglass Windows.

It has been our extreme pleasure to give our second $10,000 Home Makeover to Chiffon Berry. C&L Ward has always looked for ways to reward the communities and the people we serve. Every year our $10,000 Home Makeover grows, and we look forward to rewarding someone a new Home Makeover in the future. People can enter by stopping by any of our three design centers in Davison, Kawkawlin, or our new Lansing design center, located in the Meridian Mall.

2007 Winner – The Kowalski family of Highland

The Kowalski’s are still in awe after being selected the winner in the $10,000 Home Makeover Sweepstakes. The Highland Michigan couple were selected from thousands of entrants from throughout Mid-Michigan.

We were a little skeptical at first, but after we met with Pat Ward and his staff at C&L Ward Brothers, we knew they were providing us a wonderful opportunity to improve the curb appeal of our home”, says Darin Kowalski. “We’ve decided to replace our roof with our makeover, as well as add new vinyl siding to our home,” continues Darin. “One thing that we found really exciting was C&L Ward’s HomeVision Visualization Design Program. We were able to see our Home Makeover finished before it even started. Their designer used a digital photo, and updated our home using the roof and vinyl siding colors we selected. We can’t wait to see our “new” home for real this spring,” says Emily.

This is the first time C&L Ward has held such a Sweepstakes. “It has been a real pleasure working with Darin & Emily to make their home makeover dreams come true” says Pat Ward, President of C&L Ward, “We are so pleased with the response and excitement it generated, we are planning to hold another $10,000 Home Makeover Sweepstakes next year.
